We are thrilled to offer you a wine tasting hosted by STL Wine Girl who has been featured in Sauce Magazine, St. Louis Magazine and other local publications for her outstanding wine knowledge. If you left it up to me the class would go something like this “Here’s your white, here’s your red. Wine is Yummy!” Thankfully, STL Wine Girl will …

Hilary Hitchcock

Ok who the heck are you?
I’m Hilary Hitchcock.  I live in the Gravois Park neighborhood of south St. Louis.  I take photographs — digital, film, Polaroids.  I like to make jewelry and sew, although those are not necessarily my strongest suits yet (see below).
What is the worst craft fail you’ve had?
I have tried FOUR TIMES to make a patchwork fabric ball for my baby nephew, Bruno.  Two ended in such hilarious non-round shapes that I had to give them to him anyway.   As for the more recent two — …

What is the worst craft fail you’ve had?

I made a queen-sized quilt, hand-quilted, meticulously assembled in concentric rainbow colors, for a local business man. Not naming names, but my apartment was right behind his shop, so I saw him all the time.  When I finally got it done, he said I had taken too long (2 months, but gee, I was also employed full-time!) and also balked at the price ($600). I quote, “$600? I can go to K-mart and get a …

Nikki ~ Cascade Yarns

In Love.  I am in Love.  When I first opened the box containing the Nikki Yarn from Cascade I freaked.  I haven’t even been a big knitter myself but this drove me to dust off the old needles and give it a try again.  I stocked three of the colors available and seriously they are gorgeous!  The orange/green/red combo reminds me of Jolly Ranchers and I have no idea why but I swear I taste them when I look at it.  The details are below for those of you …
